Jerard Studio, owned primarily by John Jerard working with Mary Creede, is a 13 year old
association of artists and craftspeople. We see ourselves first and foremost as problem solvers,
able to mold all of our individual talents, knowledge and experience to a common purpose. Jerard
Studio is different in that we work in a variety of disciplines including interior design,
theatrical and movie scenic and prop design and fabrication as well as commissioned artwork and
custom designed home and office furnishings.
Though it is unusual for one studio to work in so many different disciplines, it does not dilute
our ability to satisfy a client's needs but rather expands our problem solving capabilities. Our
base of knowledge with regard to design, techniques, materials and fabrication continues to grow as
one project informs the next.
This diversification of talents encompassed in one studio enables Jerard to deliver creative
solutions to a variety of design challenges. Jerard Studio has provided original design solutions
for many Broadway productions. "The Producers" and "Spamalot" are among our most recent
credits. We've designed and created murals and sculptures for a variety of locations including
hotels and restaurants at Walt Disney World.
We fabricated the interactive plant and tree models for the "Amazing Plants" Exhibit at the
Brooklyn Botanical Garden as well as providing illustrations and murals. We built professional
displays for Fisher Price and Western Publishing and corporate interiors for Polygram Label Group
and The Sundance Channel. We just finished painting backdrops for a production of Peter Pan at the
Marionette theatre in Manhattan's Central Park.
Jerard Studio also specializes in backpainted glass. These treatments encompass a myriad of
styles and materials including collage and eglomise. Our work on glass can be seen at Tribeca Grand
Hotel and Atlas Restaurant.
Our painting on glass has recently culminated in the most ambitious glass painting project we've
had to date: A 30" x 12' mural of the Milky Way Galaxy painted on the back of the glass panels for
the New Children's Hospital at Montefiore.

way to get there, please contact us.
